A district in Pakistan's Sindh province is facing an HIV epidemic. Maybe it's one of the biggest health crises in the world right now.

A doctor named Muzaffar Ghangharo has been accused of injecting HIV-infected syringes to more than 500 people in the district in recent months. Police investigate to find out if he did so intentionally or negligently. The children's specialist was arrested and questioned.

Thousands of villagers have been screened for HIV. So far, 500 have been tested positive. Unfortunately, most infected people are children and at least 60% of them are under five years old.

The district is economically and socially behind. Most doctors have no training and use traditional medicine. Doctors here are notorious for using injections for every little illness.
