BOWLEGS, Okla (AP) – The Oklahoma road patrol stated that one child was one of three people killed in an accident involving a school bus.
A patrol report indicates that the accident occurred just after 19:15. Friday 377 US near Bowlegs, about 80 km southeast of Oklahoma City. A girl in the bus was killed, with two people in a van.
The Konawa School District website indicates that the girl was one of six high school softball players returning home after a match. Five other girls in the bus and the driver were treated and released from hospitals in the area.
No name or age has been published.
The patrol report indicates that an accident occurred when the southbound bus collided with the SUV heading north past another vehicle. Both vehicles then caught fire.
