One of next month’s free PlayStation Plus games has been revealed ahead of the entire PS4 and PS5 game lineup. It will be a few more weeks before Sony officially announces the free PlayStation Plus games for subscribers on PS4 and PS5, but now we know what one of those giveaways will be. More precisely, we now know that all subscribers will be able to download Hunter’s Arena: Legends free between August 3 and September 6.

This week, developer Mantisco announced that the online Battle Royale game is scheduled to exit Early Access and release on PS4, PS5, and PC via Steam on August 3. This was the first part of the announcement. The second part of the announcement was that it would be free for PlayStation Plus subscribers during the aforementioned window.

Now, at the moment, it’s unclear whether this game will be included in the PlayStation Plus lineup for August or if it’s just an added bonus. At the moment, it appears to be the first, but as of yet, it has not been confirmed.

As for the game itself, it is an online battle royale game that has been in early access on Steam since July 2020. On Steam, it enjoys a “mixed” review rating, with 63% of 819 user reviews rating the game positively.

In “Ancient Asia, once the existing peace was shattered by demons unleashed by an unknown power,” one reads in an official pitch for the game. “Sensing great danger, Hunters from all over the world gathered to stop the spreading chaos. However, the Hunters soon discovered that none other than one of their own, a Hunter, had broken the seal and freed the Demons into the world. With no one to trust, Hunters must now fight demons and point blades at each other. “

At the time of publication, it’s unclear how much it will cost non-subscribers to play, but the Early Access version costs $ 20, so expect a price tag at this point.
