One Piece gets moving with one of Luffy’s best speeches yet

Luffy has wreaked havoc on Udon Prison since his loss to Kaido in the second act of the Wano Country arc, but the latest episode of the anime featured what has to be one of Luffy’s best speeches. in the series to date. Following the mass of chaos unleashed by Big Mom and Queen’s fight in the previous episodes, the prisoners who remained in Udon don’t know what to do. Torn between the hope of seeing the Akazaya Nine in action and the desperation of the past 20 years living under Kaido, they needed a boost.

The prisoners had completely given up hope in the last episode of the series because, although they saw Luffy and the Samurai make major strides against the guards, they were still at the mercy of one of the plague weapons of the Queen. But Luffy, being who he is, completely threw himself into this weapon in order to cheer them up.

Episode 949 on A Room sees the prisoners dealing with the fact that chaos erupts all over Udon. The guards threaten to shoot them down and could do even worse to those who disobey, and they have been beaten so badly that they resign themselves to working with the guards to capture Luffy and the others.

Once the plague rounds start hitting the prisoners, they lose hope even more until Luffy catches a bunch of them and becomes infected. Telling them that living off pieces donated by others is no way to live, Luffy says they are slaves. This is true because they have become slaves to their fear, and seeing Luffy do this and take all that weight on him brings them to tears.

Telling them that it doesn’t matter if he’s an alien, he’s here to defeat Kaido in the same way Oden resisted him years before. Although he acknowledges that Oden was a mighty warrior and that it was tragic that he died at the hands of Kaido, he tells the prisoners that he is here to defeat Kaido once and for all. Not only that, but he wants the people of Udon to fight for themselves too.

After seeing Luffy defeat Babanuki quickly, the prisoners then decide to revolt and Udon Prison has been officially conquered. This means that the final battle against Kaido will be even more intense with this major faction being part of Luffy’s forces. What did you think of Luffy’s speech?
