Now that early users have been able to use OnePlus 7 Pro for about a week, we receive real usage reports. Unfortunately, it seems that many owners of 7 Pro are facing a problem that can only be described as "touching the ghosts".

In this thread on the official OnePlus forums, users describe ghost touch as a touch screen occurring at the top of the display, even if their fingers are far from that area. If this happened enough, it could prevent you from doing other things on the phone, as ghost cocks could ban other faucets in other areas.

Here has Android Authoritywe were able to replicate the ghost problem on two separate OnePlus 7 Pro devices. Check the GIF below to see it in action:

To test this yourself on your own 7 Pro, download and install the free CPU-Z application. Open the app and leave the phone idle for a few minutes with the screen turned on. If you notice that touch input occurs even if you do not touch the screen, it is ghost entries.

If you turn off and on the screen, the faucets will stop. However, they will probably start randomly at some point shortly thereafter.

The cause of this problem is not clear at the moment. More importantly, it is also unclear whether this could be fixed with a hotfix. If it's a hardware problem, it could be a big problem for OnePlus.

We contacted OnePlus about this problem and will update this article if we had a new answer. In the meantime, please let us know if you experience this problem on your OnePlus 7 Pro.
