OnePlus will launch next week its next flagship smartphones, the OnePlus 7T series, via a virtual event. But CEO Pete Lau revealed the final design of the OnePlus 7T Pro handset before launch. (OnePlus will probably announce a cheaper OnePlus 7T next week too.)
"Our brand new design with 4th generation frosted glass," Mr. Lau tweeted this morning, link to a message from the OnePlus forum in which the company explains the design.
"No detail is too small to be perfected," reads the message. "When you look at the back of a phone, the camera is perhaps the first thing that catches your eye. This is an extremely important piece of the design puzzle. We have completely redesigned the camera case for our next flagship product. The camera must make a bold visual statement, but must also naturally follow the overall design for a consistent appearance. "
According to the company, the OnePlus 7T Pro design offers perfect symmetry regardless of orientation and elegantly balances the phone's three-lens camera system. This is the result of more than 50 design iterations.
I hope that OnePlus has significantly improved the quality of the photos you can take with this handset: its previous flagship product, the OnePlus 7 Pro, is by the way almost perfect.
