OnePlus is known for offering high-end specifications at a comparatively cheaper price. However, to do this, the company has to give up some features, one of which is wireless charging, something many users have been expecting for a few years.

Although the company does not offer wireless charging on its smartphones at all, it will not come soon. The reason behind this is the company's exclusive charging technology – Warp Charge, which was previously known as Dash Charge.

Pete Lau explained that the standard defined by Warp Charge is the reference and that, compared to that, the current wireless load is too slow. It therefore seems that wireless charging will be available on the OnePlus smartphone as the technology evolves and offers faster charging than current standards.

OnePlus is working to accelerate the development of wireless charging and is currently looking to charge quickly without generating much heat. Currently, most flagship smartphones from leading brands offer wireless charging solutions, including Apple, Samsung, Huawei, LG, Xiaomi.
