OnePlus Phone Cameras Just can’t compare to what you get on Apple and Samsung phones, but according to a new leak, help could be on the way. The company would be in partnership with Hasselblad on the upcoming OnePlus 9 Pro.

The latest details on OnePlus’ next flagship phone has been revealed in a somewhat roundabout way, when a random fan fell in YouTuber Dave2D Discord Server claiming to have information about the OnePlus 9 Pro.

After contacting the fan, Dave2D finally got a number of screenshots showing what appears to be a Genuine OnePlus 9 Pro, featuring a new quad camera module on the rear with a clear Hasselblad branding, support for 3.3x optical zoom, and a few other notable specs.

Iit’s entirely possible that these screenshots are faked, But based on previous renderings for the standard OnePlus 9, which featured an almost identical rear camera module but with two camas instead of four, this leak seems to pass the initial sniffle test.

Unfortunately, when Dave2D contacted OnePlus CEO and co-founder Pete Lau, Lau did not confirm the leak or indicate that a similar camera system would be available on the standard OnePlus 9. Lau already has went on file saying that one of OnePlus’ big goals for 2021 is to focus on camera quality. Wwith other brands of phones to have associated with Notable camera companies (see Huawei’s relationship with Leica and HMD with Zeiss for several Nokia phones), a collaboration between OnePlus and Hasselblad not only seems entirely plausible, but also a great idea for a company looking to upgrade their camera set.

Apart from the 9 Pro cameras, the leak also detailed Support for a dynamic 120Hz refresh rate similar to what’s available in the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra and Galaxy S21 Ultra, with 11GB of RAM (which is an odd number) and 256GB of storage. And while there is no mention of the processor the phone uses, based on OnePlus’ previous history with mobile chips, it’s a safe bet that the company will probably go with Qualcomm Snapdragon 888.

And in a separate leak by Max Jambor, it appears the OnePlus 9 Pro will also be offer faster 45-watt wireless charging and reverse wireless charging support, compared to the OnePlus 30-watt wireless charging introduced on the OnePlus 8 Pro.

Okay, so when will we know more for real? The next batch of OnePlus phones is should be announced later this spring, with a recent report from Android Central claiming that there will be some sort of launch event planned for March.
