In case you missed the news the first time around, the Nord N10 5G is the most capable of the company’s new budget phone, featuring Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 690 chipset with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. In addition to supporting 5G sub-6 networks, the N10 5G also packs a 6.49-inch Full HD display that updates to 90Hz like the original Nord and a quartet of rear cameras with a set of 64-megapixel main shot and an ultra-wide camera. with a 119 degree field of view.
Rounding out the set is a 4300mAh battery, stereo speakers, fingerprint sensor, and support for OnePlus’ Warp Charge 30T fast charging. All in all, not too shabby for a decently cheap 5G phone, although we’re starting to see plenty of models of similar specs clamoring for shelf space.
And then there’s the Nord N100, a device whose outstanding specs include a 6.52-inch HD + display and 5,000mAh battery, along with a 13-megapixel primary rear camera, as well as secondary portrait cameras. and macro. Beyond that, the N100 looks quite pedestrian: Qualcomm’s relatively new Snapdragon 460 chipset is inside, joined by 4GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage, and a microSD card slot.
If we’re being honest, no phone seems ready to wow people, but that was never really the point. As people continue to avoid high-end smartphones – in other words, the types of devices with OnePlus price tags once shunned – claiming that part of the mid-range market could be one the best chances of the company for sustained growth.
