OnePlus may have a particularly busy March. Well-known tipster Ishan Agarwal said 91Mobiles that OnePlus would unveil at least four devices in March, including a cheaper 9R smartphone (you’re looking at the 8T above) as well as the standard 9, 9 Pro, and the previously teased smartwatch by the company. While Agarwal doesn’t have any new specs to share for the 9R or the watch, it comes just days after Evan Blass found web proof of the 9R name.
The 9R was previously considered a 9E or a 9 Lite and could straddle the gap between regular OnePlus flagships and low-budget devices like the Nord N series. It wouldn’t appeal to anyone with its 6.5-inch 90Hz display. , its Snapdragon 690 chip or its 64MP main camera, but it could offer more RAM and battery (8GB and 5000mAh respectively) than the 6GB of memory and 4300mAh battery on the Nord N10. . The 9 and 9 Pro should both include smoother 120Hz displays, more powerful Snapdragon 888 chips, and improved camera technology (if at lower resolutions), so you still have a clear incentive to spend more if your budget allows.
The OnePlus watch, on the other hand, could be a circular Wear OS watch that shares something in common with the Oppo Watch RX.
If the claims are correct, you can expect OnePlus to start teasing the 9R, the watch, and other offerings in the near future. It’s safe to say that this would be OnePlus’ biggest launch yet – it would have four major new products and a full line of phones covering most use cases. Whether fans are happy or not is another story (a compromised 9R device doesn’t exactly scream “Never Settle”), but at least they won’t have a hard time choosing.
