It's a great week for the foodies of Dayton!

Several highly anticipated restaurant openings are taking place this week.

Mark your calendars and prepare your most stretchy pants as Dayton hosts four new restaurants this week.

1. Giordano

Giordano, Chicago-based deep-dish pizza specialist, will open its first store in the Dayton area at 2819 Center Drive, near Fairfield Commons Mall and Wright State University's Nutter Center.

The new restaurant will open on Tuesday, February 19, on a site that once housed a Logan's Roadhouse steakhouse, Giordano officials said last week.

The opening week will be: 16h. at 10 pm Tuesday to Thursday, 4 pm to 11 pm Friday from 11 am to 11 pm Saturday and 11 am to 10 pm Sunday.

The 5,000-square-foot full-service restaurant offers take-away meals, take-away meals, lunch and dinner delivery, and dining options.

Giordano currently operates a location in Columbus on Polaris Parkway. His new location at Beavercreek will be located at 2819 Promenade du Center, where he will share a building with the first Jason's Deli in the Dayton area.

Giordano's has been serving its pies on a large scale since 1974, when founders and immigrant brothers Efren and Joseph Boglio introduced their mother's Deep Dish pizza recipe in Chicago. Today, Giordano's has more than 65 restaurants in the country, mainly in the Midwest, as well as in Florida, Las Vegas and Arizona. It operates three sites in the Indianapolis area.

2. Flyby BBQ

The independently owned, locally owned Flyby BBQ will open to the public on Tuesday, Feb. 19 at the Fairfield Commons mall, according to its founder, David Butcher. The new restaurant, which started as a food truck, is located between Fusian and Bravo Cucina Italiana, near the main entrance of the shopping center.

Flyby will be a casual barbecue restaurant with a similar control system to Chipotle. It will serve signature sandwiches, bowls and barbecue plates, smoked meats to hickory, a variety of regional American toppings and barbecue sauces. A vegan option of jackfruit pulled barbecue will be available. The restaurant will also offer home-made side dishes, banana pudding, craft beer and sodas.

The food truck will continue its activities, but will focus on the biggest festivals and events.

The Beavercreek Chamber of Commerce will participate in the flyby BBQ ribbon cutting at 3:30 pm on Friday, February 22. An official opening ceremony will begin on Saturday, February 23 at 10:45 am

On Saturday, the first 50 people who buy a main course will enjoy a free barbecue for a year (a main course and a drink once a week, once a week). The owners of the Press Coffee Bar in Oregon's Dayton District will open their new location in Belmont on Tuesday, February 19th.

The hours will be from 7h to 22h. at the new store at 732 Watervliet Ave.

The press workshop located at 257 Wayne Ave. in the district of Oregon opened in 2011. The new location is reserved by True Love Tattoo Parlor and Belmont Catering.

The new café will serve its own roasted coffee beans, which are under the name of Wood Burl Coffee. The store will sell pastries at Blue Bike Bakery and Evans Bakery in Old North Dayton.

Press serves four to seven types of coffee of unique origin.

4. The buffalo and the wild boar

The new steakhouse concept The Bison and The Boar will celebrate its official opening on Friday, February 22nd.

The restaurant will open in the area formerly home to Reflections, a restaurant located at 3377 US Route 35 East in West Alexandria.

The menu will include seafood, fish, pork and beef, bison and boar from Ohio.

The Bison and the Wild Boar will belong to Dan Appenzeller, owner of Reflections. Isiah Davis will be the chef and general manager of the steakhouse.

Entrances served at Bison and Wild Boar will be between $ 22 and $ 45. Entries will start at around $ 9.
