OR Run-Rules Tech, second part suspended

THE CITY OF OKLAHOMA – Softball No. 1/1 of Oklahoma opened the Phillips-Superbike Championship Phillips 66 Big 12 2019 with a six-run win and 8-0 over Texas Tech No. 15/18 before its match against Kansas is postponed because of the rain.

The Sooners-Jayhawks match was suspended at the top of the fourth set with Oklahoma leading 5-0. It is planned to resume at 11 am on Saturday.

With his win against the Red Raiders, OR has improved to 49-2 on the season. The Sooners have extended their record winning streak to 39 games, making it the longest streak of any NCAA season in Division I and the second longest streak of all time (Arizona has won 47 games in a row from April 5, 1996 to March 23). 1997).

In the first match, Giselle Juarez and Shannon Saile combined in the 23rd WHITE GAME OF THE OUTSIDE season. The Sooners charged the goals in the bottom of the third and another wild pitch allowed Falepolima Aviu to score. Shay Knighten then punched a double from the left wall to mark Green and Jocelyn Alo.

The OU has sealed his 23rd win of the season under the run-of-walk rule. With runners in first and second places, Green recorded her first career hat-trick as she smoked a straight line on the home straight, scoring Caleigh Clifton and Alo.

Knighten then led a single to the left field to bring Green home and finish the game at the bottom of the sixth.

The Sooners opened the last warm glass while Sydney Romero and Aviu opened the game with consecutive doubles to score a point on the board for OU.

Momentum was raised to the top of the second while OU scored four runs on four hits. With two runners in goal position, Grace Lyons chose to center to score Mendes.

Romero followed with a double left that tackled Lynnsie Elam. This marked Romero's 56th double as Sooner, who is tied for most career doubles in the program's history.

Aviu then drilled a single center to bring Lyons and Romero home.
