Former Speaker of the House of Representatives John Boehner said everyone, no matter what his policy, should be grateful for the leadership of Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.

Boehner congratulated McConnell on his "mastery of parliamentary procedure" for his efforts to secure the confirmation of two Supreme Court candidates from President Trump, Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh.
"Whatever your political or ideological inclinations, you and your family have benefited from his experienced leadership at a difficult time in the history of our country. Our country is blessed with its service and the wisdom it brings to the high office, "wrote Boehner.
Boehner, a Republican from Ohio, announced in 2015 that he was retiring in the middle of his tenure.
