The Food Safety and Inspection Service of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) announced an extension of the ready-to-eat chicken recall because it was contaminated with foreign material .

They stated that Tyson Foods, Inc. recalled 11,829,517 pounds of frozen chicken strips containing pieces of metal.

The products were manufactured from October 1, 2018 to March 8, 2019 and have an expiry date from October 1, 2019 to March 7, 2020.

The problem was discovered when two consumers reported the materials contained in the chicken. At present, six complaints about pieces of metal have been discovered, and three others have been caused by an oral injury.

The chicken strips have been shipped all over the country and have the establishment number "P-7221" on the back of the package.
