Makhachev, a teammate of lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov, defended most of Tsarukyan's attempts to pull him down and consistently won the battles for key positions. He fell for a tight guillotine in the first round, but he did not seem to approach the finish otherwise.

Pavlovich quickly takes KO

Modafferi, who is fighting in Las Vegas, was an important underdog, but surprised Shevchenko with a very effective ground game. According to statistics from the UFC, she converted five of the six attempts to ground out and foiled Shevchenko on a total of 105 to 87.

Jotko lands a skid after three fights

Polish middleweight Krzysztof Jotko (20-4) won his first victory in more than two years, after defeating Alen Amedovski (8-1) in a decisive victory. The judges scored 30-25, 30-26 and 30-26.

Jotko, 29, turned out to be in another class that Amedovski on the floor. He took the UFC newcomer to each of the three innings and scored with punches and elbows. In the second round, he had trapped Amedovski in a crucifix position and would have probably deserved an finish if the clock had not passed.

The victory is Jotko's first in four appearances. He started his career at the UFC with a promising record of 6-1, before losing three times in a row.

Movsar Evloev, a former M-1 bantamweight champion fighting at featherweight in his UFC debut, remained undefeated in his professional MMA career with a stifling grappling display that produced a decisive victory as decisive as possible.

Evloev (11-0) had a point deducted in the second round for an illegal knee to the head of a ground Seungwoo Choi. But the fight continued and the 25-year-old Russian never stopped dominating, controlling Choi (7-2) of South Korea to score 29-27, 29-27. and 29-26 of the judges.

Sultan Aliyev, who generally relies on his muscular wrestling game, quickly won Keita Nakamura's respect with crisp boxing. Although Nakamura resisted the first story, when the fight gave way to a wrestling match, Aliyev also kept control of the situation, gaining a decisive victory along the way.

Aliev (15-3) used a quick jab to keep Nakamura (34-10-2, 1 NC) out of the pounding pace and led the way all along the way in his strongest performance in UFC so far. The three judges scored the match 30-27 in favor of the Russian.

In his first fight since 2016. Alexander Yakovlev resisted several offensive attacks by Alex Da Silva, then, while round 2 was warming up, Yakovlev dodged an attempt to withdraw. Shamil Abdurakhimov caught Marcin Tybura with a left hook at the temple who wobbled, then followed Tybura across the octagon and launched a series of strokes as his opponent slumped against the cage , until the referee jumps to 3:15 of the second round.

The heavyweights engaged in a standing battle throughout the match. The Russian Abdurakhimov (20-4) landed more regularly until Tybura (17-5) began to time his counter-batters. The end came when this hook caught Tybura flush with his right temple and his balance left him. It was the third consecutive victory of Abdurakhimov.
