By the road

Survival strategy game based on the Sqquad By the road The developer Finji announced that the launch of PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch and PC via Steam will take place on September 19th.

Here is a preview of the game, via its Steam page:

About

Take care of a group of travelers during a post-apocalyptic road trip through the United States in this turn-based survival game. Fight scary creatures, rescue stranded survivors, and collect supplies such as fuel, first aid kits, and weapons. Decide where to go next, whether to upgrade that demolished car or save that dog. Remember, every action has consequences. Get ready for close calls, dramatic escapes, tough choices, discussions about whether this dog is saved, and the end of the world.

Main characteristics

  • Always keep the fuel in the tank. Stay away from the creatures. Pay attention. Be quiet.
  • Strong sounds attract trouble and there is no way to fight them all. Collect as much fuel as possible, save that trapped alien and get back in the car before it's too late.
  • Travel west through meadows, mountains, deserts and even stranger places. Each level, each roadmap and each character are generated randomly. Each trip is new.
  • Equip dozens of items including medicine kits, shields, axes, potted plants, salvaged armor and luggage racks.
  • A whole new end of the world of Finji (Canabalt, Night in the woods).
