Blizzard has officially announced the dates and even gave us a teaser on some of the skins we’ll be getting for the Summer Games this year, so let’s take a look at what lies ahead.

When it comes to Overwatch seasonal events, you’ll be hard pressed to find one that thrills gamers more than summer games. Already the event that offers some of the best skins in the game, which looks set to continue in 2021.

On July 18, Blizzard announced that the Summer Games would begin on Tuesday July 20 – Tuesday being Overwatch’s usual patch day – and even gave us a preview of some of the skins coming up this year. Symmetra, Blizzard a finally answered your prayers.

At the front and center of the preview trailer is a gorgeous mermaid skin for Symmetra – and given that it was one of the longest Legendary Skin Droughts of any Overwatch hero – this news is like manna from heaven for all major Syms.

The purple and blue aquatic outfit will certainly be at the top of most players’ lists to unlock for the 2021 Summer Games, but let’s not forget what could also be the best BOB skin ever.

Yes, Ashe wears an appropriate sun hat and cradles a Super-Soaker, but BOB was blessed with a Flamingo pool tube on his head – which could be the biggest headgear in all of Overwatch.

The Overwatch art team went above and beyond this time around.

Mei also gets a scream in the Summer Games trailer with skin that makes her look like an ice cream vendor in a car. It will be her second skin representing her as an employee of a clothing store, with the Honeydew Mei on the theme of Boba.

If you look closely, the highlight of this cosmetic has to be Mei Snowball’s loyal companion, turning into an adorable little ice cream cone, complete with chocolate dip and sprinkles.

You have to understand that Snowball never seems to be left out of Mei’s skin.

Along with the new skins, we can also expect the return of our favorite Summer Games fare: Lucioball. As in the past, the developers may have offered a few different versions of Classic Mode, so we’ll have to see if there’s anything new this year.

As we mentioned, the Overwatch Summer Games 2021 event begins on Tuesday, July 20. So be sure to save these coins to unlock Symmetra, BOB, Mei, or any of the other skins that are yet to be revealed as things go. To go.
