Overwatch teases new Cuban content

Blizzard's FPS Overwatch continues to fuel the tradition, this time with a pleasing blog that suggests that the motley crew of heroes will soon travel to Cuba and not enjoy a great time. A local newspaper in Havana tells the story of a family brewery lost to a mega corporation before being warned of a hurricane on the island.

The blog post does not explicitly say what form this will take in the game, but it mentions both a reconstructed rum distillery and the Havana Sea Fort, which could mean a new map. It is also time for the archive event to take place for another year. Last time, it brought us new insights into the past of Overwatch and Talon, which could have something to do with that. The intensity of the hurricane is less obvious. I do not think they're about to add weather effects to the game, but hey, I'd be wrong.

Alicia Diaz, the woman interviewed for the newspaper, could also become the first black heroine of the game, as the players had asked for so long. If this is the case, however, it will probably go through a more in-depth introduction.

Baptiste recently added the Hatian hero, which allowed him to become familiar with the Caribbean islands.

Not much to do, as usual for this type of teasing Blizzard, but it is likely that they will unfold more in the coming days. Probably still not enough to satisfy those who want more attention to the story behind the shoot, but we will wait to see what the return of archive events has to offer.
