HILLSBOROUGH, California – The owner of a house in the San Francisco Bay Area adorned with spooky characters from Flintstones said that complacent bureaucrats were the only ones concerned with her sculptures of Barney and Betty Rubble and that others were drawing happiness.
Florence Fang spoke to the media for the first time on Thursday, as she was filing her response with the city seeking to force her to remove unauthorized facilities.
City of Hillsborough officials filed a lawsuit, calling the display nuisance and visual pollution.
Hillsborough Lawyer Mark Hudak said residents must obtain a permit before installing such sculptures, regardless of their theme.
At the end of his press conference, Fang tied his arms to his lawyer and the original architect of the house, exclaiming, "Yabba dabba do!"
