‘Ozark’, ‘The Crown’ Lead TV Names – Deadline

26th Critics Choice Awards unveiled series nominees on Monday with Netflix Ozark and The crown leading the pack with six nominations each.

The nominees for the film and the format of the ceremony will be revealed on February 7. The winners will be announced at 7 p.m. on March 7 on The CW, with Taye Diggs expected to return as host for the third time.

Ozark and The crown Contribute Netflix to the top of the series side with 26 names in total. The two are up for the best drama, while OzarkJason Bateman and Laura Linney received nominations for Best Actor and Actress in a Drama Series respectively. Tom Pelphrey, Julia Garner and Janet McTeer are nominated for their supporting roles. The crown’s Josh O’Connor is nominated for Best Actor in a Drama Series, while Olivia Colman and Emma Corrin are both nominated for Best Actress in a Drama Series. Tobias Menzies and Gillian Anderson were also recognized for their supporting roles.

“We are delighted to celebrate the incredible work that has been released over this long season,” said Joey Berlin, CEO of the Critics Choice Association. “In a year when the need for entertainment was undeniable, the industry mobilized to offer great series that delighted us, educated us, challenged us and, above all, brought us all together.

HBO and HBO Max had 24 nominations in total, coming just behind Netflix. The Premium Cabler Sci-Fi Series Lovecraft Country by Misha Green won five nominations, as did FX’s Mrs. America and What we do in the shadows. Big Emmy Pop Winner Schitt Creek grabbed five nominations.

The 26th annual Critics Choice Awards will be produced by Bob Bain Productions and Berlin Entertainment. The CCA is represented by Dan Black of Greenberg Traurig.
