Ozzy Osbourne is on the road to recovery after a fall in 2019 that left him with painful injuries.
The rocker, 72, will soon be undergoing “major surgery” to his neck and back, which will help relieve much of his pain, his wife Sharon Osbourne told DailyMailTV.
As a result of the fall in the bathroom, Ozzy dislodged metal screws in his spine that were originally put in place after he had an ATV crash in 2003.
Sharon told the DailyMail that she hopes the frontman of Black Sabbath can “come back on stage” soon. “This is what I pray for,” she said.

In 2019, the Osbourne family spoke with Robin Roberts about “Hello america“about the Ozzy incident.” When I fell it was pitch black, “he recalls.” I went to the bathroom and fell. I just fell and landed like a slam on the ground and I remember laying there thinking, “Well, you did it now”, really calm. Sharon [called] an ambulance. After that it was all downhill. “

The family also spoke about Ozzy’s diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease.
“This is PRKN 2,” Sharon told GMA. “There are so many different types of Parkinson’s disease; it is not a death sentence by any stretch of the imagination, but it does affect certain nerves in your body. And it’s – it’s like you have a good day, a good day, then a really bad day. “

Parkinson’s disease is a neurodegenerative disease that usually develops slowly over the years, although not all patients are affected in the same way. It can cause tremors, limb stiffness, gait and balance problems, and slowness of movement. There is no known cure for the disease, but patients can be treated with various medications and surgeries, according to the Parkinson Foundation.
Fast forward to 2021 and Sharon told the DailyMail that Ozzy’s Parkinson’s disease was “under control.”

“It breaks your heart,” Sharon told the outlet. “He wants to come back [on the road]. He misses his friends, his musicians. They are its partners. He misses this life. But with his Parkinson’s disease, he’s fine. He is fine. He’s got it under control. “

Elsewhere in the DailyMail interview, the former “Talk” co-host spoke candidly about her “volatile” relationship with Ozzy.
The interview focused on an upcoming biopic that will explore the relationship between the media personality, 68, and the musician.
Sharon and Ozzy first met when the TV host was just 18. The couple were first introduced by Sharon’s father, who led Ozzy’s band Black Sabbath at the time.
“Our fights were legendary”, Osbourne said DailyMailTV. “We were fighting against each other. It stopped, it must be, 20 years ago, but we had a good race.”
Despite the tumultuous relationship they shared, Sharon called the biopic a “love story” during the interview.

“It’s a movie about Ozzy and my life, how we got together early on and our volatile relationship,” Sharon said. “All the fights, all the makeup, all the fights, all the arrests, everything. And it’s a love story.”
“People are going to watch him go, ‘It’s not allowed. They shouldn’t behave this way and film it,” she added. “Corn [we’re] only tell the truth. Some people have volatile relationships and ours was very volatile. “
