Aaron Rodgers business rumors made headlines during the NFL Draft, and it doesn’t look like the star quarterback’s relationship with the Green Bay Packers will be mended anytime soon.
Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst revealed in NFL writer Peter King’s “Football Morning in America” column on Monday that the team had received a call asking questions about Rodgers after rumors had spread there was an offer on the table for the San Francisco 49ers.

“I had no [trade] discussions with any team. I got a call from a team Thursday night after all the news had aired. I said no. That was the end of the conversation, ”said Gutekunst.
The 49ers were among the teams considered interested in trading for Rodgers. According to at least one report, the 49ers have made an offer to the Packers for Rodgers.
“We inquired and that ended the conversation quickly,” 49ers general manager John Lynch told reporters after the first round of the draft. “It wasn’t happening.”
San Francisco picked quarterback Trey Lance with the No.3 pick instead.
According to Yahoo Sports, Rodgers has a problem with Gutekunst and is adamant that he will not be returning to the team under his leadership. Rodgers are said to be willing to stay away from off-season activities, skip training camp and possibly even retire.
Rodgers was at the Kentucky Derby on Saturday but didn’t want to directly address the breakup with the Packers.
“He didn’t want to speak in front of the camera,” Mike Tirico said during NBC broadcast of the Kentucky Derby. “I can tell you, I characterize Aaron as disappointed that news has come out of this breakup with the Packers. He has expressed repeatedly how much he loves Green Bay, loves the fans, loves the franchise. There is a chasm. between management and the reigning NFL MVP.
