Packers push back LB Ty Summers in the seventh round

GREEN BAY – The Packers selected LB linebacker Ty Summers with his seventh round pick (No. 226 overall).

Summers (6-1, 241), captain of the team, split his time between the linebacker and the defensive end in 2018. He totaled 48 tackles with four sacks in 10 games (nine starts). Summers closed his career with 318 tackles, the second total by a horned frog in the 18 seasons of head coach Gary Patterson.

Summers had an impressive performance at the NFL Scouting Combine in February, scoring 4.51 times in the 40s with 27 reps on the bench and a 36-inch vertical in Indianapolis.
