Padres to close Chris Paddack

As expected, the Padres ended the star rookie early Chris PaddackThe season. The defender's start against the Brewers on Tuesday will be the end of the year. Kevin Acee of the San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

Paddack finished his season excellently by throwing five rounds of a ball, one shot, with a touchdown, with nine strikeouts against batting a single goal in the Padres' loss to Milwaukee. Paddack, 23, had an outstanding performance for the fourth time in a row.

After joining the Padres in 2016 for an exchange with the Marlins, Paddack quickly climbed into the ranks to become one of the most coveted guns in the game. And although Paddack was operated by Tommy John few of time after the change of organization, it is obvious that he has come all the way from the beginning. The eighth round pick of 2015 has amassed 140 executives on 2/3 high-level professional this year, scoring a FRA 3.33 / 3.96 FIP with 9.79 K / 9 and 1.98 BB / 9 in the process.

Now, while the San Diego season is over, the team obviously wants to preserve a hurricane that could be a front-runner in the long run. The Padre playoff drought will be embarrassing 13 years after this season, but if they return to relevance soon, it seems likely that Paddack will have a say.
