The 2020 NFL season has been full of unexpected scenarios, especially New England’s fall from grace atop the AFC East.

Although the Patriots without Tom Brady clinched a victory over the Jets on Monday night, some viewers – Paige Spiranac, in particular – were taken aback by the joy of beating a team without a win.

“It’s weird to see the Patriots celebrate for beating the Jets,” Spiranac tweeted.

In the closing seconds of Monday night’s game, kicker Nick Folk hit a 51-yard field goal for the 30-27 victory. After the kick, the Patriots players celebrated on the field at MetLife Stadium, a stark contrast to the previous “business as usual” approach.

Twitter naturally had a few comments regarding Spiranac’s original post.

“As a fan of the Jets, they lost sweet relief. Tank for Trevor is alive and well # roadto0and16 ”, a user replied.

“It’s weird celebrating a win like this. But, after seeing Tom and his new team get beaten up last night, I needed this, ” another replied, referring to the explosion of the Saints Sunday night on the Buccaneers of Brady.

When a fan asked Spiranac, “Is it weirder to see the Patriots at 3-5?” the 27 year old golfer said, “This and this my Steelers are 8-0. I don’t know what’s going on.

The Spiranac Steelers will try to win 9th place on Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals.
