Panasonic refutes reports that Huawei was suspended

The Chinese company Panasonic Corporation has not suspended its activities with Huawei and continues to supply the Chinese company normally, announced the company in a statement released Thursday.

Huawei has long been an important partner of the company, said the statement, adding that Panasonic will continue to provide products and services to Huawei and other Chinese companies.

Earlier on Thursday, the media announced that the Japanese Panasonic had terminated commercial transactions with Huawei and its affiliates subject to the US ban.

Last week, Washington placed the Chinese tech company on its blacklist trading, preventing it from buying components from US companies.
