Paradox has launched its own modding platform with Microsoft

Paradox Interactive has launched Paradox Mods, a modulator platform that works on both PC and Xbox One. The publisher has partnered with Microsoft to launch it and you can start downloading the mods now.

Paradox games usually have great mods support and armies of moderating modellers, all of them for careful reworking right from the start, so it probably will not change much on PCs. I use Steam Workshop for all my Paradox games and everything is fine.

The new platform will however allow Xbox One users to enjoy some of these mods, or at least the 30 console-tested Surviving Mars mods they launch with. For modders, transferring their mods to PC and console players is as easy as downloading them, where they will be available to everyone. However, some mods will probably be better suited for the PC version. There are also many more mods available on PC, where the platform also supports Cities: Skylines and Stellaris.

"Modding has been and remains an important part of the Paradox community. As we have diversified the way we distribute our games, we want to make sure that all our players can participate in the creative process, "said product owner Paradox Mods, Anders Törlind." For Surviving Mars, we worked with mods creators to support Paradox mods with some of the best mods available, all bundled and downloadable in the game or just with the help of a web browser. We are really looking forward to free the modding world for all members of our community, regardless of the system used to play our games. "

Paradox Mods is online, and support for more games is expected later this year.
