The high-profile photo has been twice delayed for a theatrical release amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Paramount postpones once again the release of the selection title A Quiet Place, Part II further into 2021 amid the ongoing novel coronavirus pandemic, The Hollywood Reporter confirmed.
The studio has now delayed John Krasinski’s A Quiet Place, Part II to September 17 for a theatrical release. This is after the sequel was initially pushed back from September 4, 2020 to April 23, 2021.
Krasinski wrote and directed A Quiet Place II, which stars original cast members Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, and Noah Jupe. Newcomers to the series include Cillian Murphy and Djimon Hounsou.
The last deadline to A Quiet Place, Part II follows James Bond photo No time to die also pushing back its release amid the ongoing pandemic and widespread theater closures in many major markets around the world.
The delay at such a tall tent pole as No time to die hitting the multiplex is set to spark another wave of high-profile moves among spring and early summer films.
The first movie, A quiet place (2018), saw director John Krasinski emerge as a surprising new voice in the horror genre, with his story of a family forced to survive in a world with monsters that hunt by sound. The photo reached $ 340.9 million worldwide on a budget of $ 21 million, making it one of the biggest hits of the year for an original film.
Not only a success with the public and a reason to opt for a theatrical experience, A quiet place has also scored well with critics and won an Oscar nomination for Best Sound Editing, as well as several Critics’ Choice nominations.
