Amid escalating tensions over critical race theory in Loudoun County, Va., A local resident said the school district banned him from attending Tuesday’s school board meeting due to his arrest during a previous event.
Jon Tigges weighed in on “Fox & Friends” after a teacher’s resignation outside the school board on Tuesday. Laura Morris said in a provocative and moving speech that she refused to continue pushing their “highly politicized agendas”.
TEACHER FROM VIRGINIA Resigns AT SCHOOL BOARD MEETING, DECLARES “HIGHLY POLITICAL AGENDAS”
“Over the past year, I was told in one of my so-called equity trainings that white, Christian, able-bodied women currently have power in our schools and ‘that has to change’,” Morris said during the board meeting’s public comment period.
“Obviously you’ve made your point. You don’t like me anymore or many of the other teachers you’ve employed in this county. So since my contract describes the power you have over my job in public schools in Loudoun County, I thought it was necessary to resign in front of you. “
Tigges applauded the teacher for being “brave” and for pushing back on the critical race theory taught in schools.
“This is what we are looking for and people like Laura and others, we hope that they will continue to stand up for what is right and true and make sacrifices, because it is what it will take. We are in. war. be sacrifices. Freedom is not free, “he said.
Tigges said none of his children had attended the county public school, but added that the schools “were getting worse and worse.”
“I’m dealing with the outcome of the public school system as an employer. And beyond that, I’m dealing with the fact that they represent totalitarianism at the lowest level now and that has to stop.” , Tigges said.

In June, Tigges and other parents defied Loudoun County Public School Authorities (LCPS) by continuing to testify as school board officials tried to end their meeting. The superintendent said it was an “illegal gathering,” he said.
The sheriff began issuing trespassing orders to parents who defied the orders to leave. After Tigges told the sheriff he was staying until everyone had a chance to speak, he was arrested.
