Paris Jackson’s latest look is a piece of fashion history.

On Monday, the 23-year-old daughter of music legend Michael Jackson attended Stella McCartney’s show during Paris Fashion Week in a tight-fitting top: a studded one-shoulder t-shirt emblazoned with the words “Rock Royalty.”

If the lace-up look sounds familiar to you, it’s probably because it was last seen on the red carpet at the 1999 Met Gala with a “Rock Style” theme on McCartney herself – who of course. , is the daughter of Beatles frontman Paul McCartney – and Liv Tyler, daughter of Aerosmith rocker Steven Tyler.

The graphic tanks weren’t actually part of the British designer’s collection; rather, as she recently told Vogue, McCartney personalized them from a three-pack Hanes tank on the morning of the big event.

“It wasn’t really appropriate that we were wearing these shirts. Officially, we did not follow the honors of the dress code. It was very cool and rebellious from Stella, ”Tyler said at the point of sale. “It was an amazing thing, in a way. We were just ourselves.

McCartney added, “I didn’t come to be rebellious at all. I didn’t know what people were wearing.

Nonetheless, the duo’s pairing moment made headlines on Women’s Wear Daily the day after the gala – and, clearly, it’s just as fresh more than two decades later.

The only question is, which rock star offspring will be next to try the style? Our money is on Zoë Kravitz or Lourdes “Lola” Leon.
