NEW YORK CITY (WTVD) – A plane departed Raleigh-Durham International Airport heading to New York on Friday and a passenger told Eyewitness News that a suicidal woman had tried to open the door of the plane while it was coming down at LaGuardia airport.
The Delta flight operated by Republic Airways was originally from Raleigh, North Carolina, and landed without incident, but law enforcement forces encountered it on the runway.
The authorities stated that the female passenger stated that she wanted to commit suicide and was acting in a way that could have been a danger to herself and others and therefore needed to be controlled.
