The first patent, entitled Biometric sensor for acquisition of skin texture pattern images, is about the creation of a new biometric sensor for the popular smartwatch. The new sensor would be located inside an Apple Watch band and would read the unique skin texture patterns on the wrist of the user. Earlier this year, Apple filed a patent application covering the use of skin textures as a means of identifying and verifying an Apple Watch user. The company has received the patent number 10 398 370 for this technology.
The second patent related to Watch granted to Apple is numbered 10 401 800. The title of the patent is Indicators for Apple Watch Band and covers technology that adds backlit indicators to an Apple Watch group. The indicators could show icons related to the physical activities that the wearer of the watch is doing right now, that he runs, swims or something else. The indicator could also indicate when the heart rate monitor or other health-related function is being used.

The third patent is entitled Apple Watch with dynamic adjustment. Given the patent number of 10,398,200, the technology of the band allows it to tighten automatically during workouts. This prevents the watch from falling during physical activity. The group will also tighten to help Apple Watch users check their pulse.
