Meghan Markle is not expected to return for the last season of "Suits", but that does not mean that her character will not be part of the show.
Markle left the original USA Network series in season 8 alongside co-starring Patrick J. Adams, one of the original cast members of the series. Before the final, Adams agreed to resume his role as Mike Ross in Season 9, Episode 5, for an appearance as a guest. Her romantic partner on the screen, Rachel Zane of Markle, will not join him.

Addressing Entertainment tonight, Adams revealed how the show will deal with Markle's absence, noting that it will not be written in any way.
