FOXBOROUGH, Massachusetts – The New England Patriots today announced the acquisition of TE Michael Roberts as part of a deal with Detroit. The terms of the exchange have not been announced.
Roberts, 25, is a two-year veteran in the NFL after joining Detroit as a fourth-round pick (127th overall) over Toledo in the NFL draft in 2017. The 6-foot-5, 265-pound player played 23 games with five starts and 13 assists for 146 yards with three touchdowns. Last season, he played eight games with two starts and captured nine passes for 100 yards and three touchdowns.
