Patriots place two people in injured reserve and cut off after one day | Patriots of New England

FOXBORO, Mass. – The wide receiver Maurice Harris and the defensive wing Keionta Davis are back on the Patriots – for the moment.

Both players were exempted from the injury designation Sunday. They cleared the waivers on Monday, which means they returned to the reserve list of injured Patriots. If one or the other player is expected to be healthy enough to play again during the 2019 season, it is likely that the Patriots will release him with settlement of injuries to at some point this summer or at the beginning of the season.

The Patriots also gave up running back Robert Martin after signing Sunday. It was a short stay for the old Rutgers and New York Giants coming back. It would not be shocking to see the Patriots sign another half before Thursday night's preseason game against the New York Giants. Otherwise, we could expect rookie Nick Brossette to play all the clichés with Sony Michel, Rex Burkhead, James White and Damien Harris should sit down. Maybe the Patriots could also carry their special teammate Brandon Bolden.
