Trail Blazers goaltender Damian Lillard caused a stir in the 2021 NBA All-Star Game with 32 points. Of those 32 points, Lillard saved his best for last. As the fight between Team LeBron and Team Durant neared the target score, Lillard put the game on ice with a three-point lift from the half-court line.

After the game, fellow LeBron reserve compatriot Paul George revisited his previous criticism of Lillard’s long-range ability. In the 2019 playoffs, Lillard sent the Thunder team that George was a part of with a memorable 37-foot three-pointer. George, who was responsible for guarding Lillard on this game, called the attempt a “bad move” during his post-game interview.
Lillard’s latest exploits seemed to have changed George’s perspective. Following Sunday’s result, George admitted that he might have been wrong about his initial review of Lillard’s lineup.
I asked Paul George about the reach of the NBA today.
PG: “Well, I guess I was criticized for the right reason for calling Lady’s playoff shot a bad shot. I mean, I see this guy’s lineup is insane.”

George recorded 26 minutes in Sunday’s presentation event. During his time on the field, he recorded 17 points, behind Lillard and Jaylen Brown among the reservists of Team LeBron.
