Fridays Smack down, WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns and The Usos defeated Edge, Rey Mysterio and Dominik Mysterio. The show also featured live crowds returning, which led to Paul Heyman releasing a statement on Reigns.

“Last night was the first time @WWE #SmackDown has been presented to a LIVE audience since the start of the #TribalChief era, and it all reaffirmed the current position of #UniversalHeavyweightChampion @romanreigns, who is the lead and shoulders above someone else, ”Heyman wrote. “Above their bond with the crowd. Above anyone else’s ability to raise the temperature in the already bubbling room.

“To be frank, this is one of the most important races in the columns of World Wrestling Entertainment. #RomanReigns has raised the levels of what an absolute #WWE superstar can offer. And here’s the best part, we’re just getting started! Welcome to the #WWEUniverse. With all due respect, the Relevancy Island Tourist Office, witness to history before your eyes.

In the comments, MVP took issue with Heyman, saying Reigns is “above anyone’s ability to raise the temperature in the already overflowing room.” MVP noted that he knows someone who is capable of doing the same – WWE Champion Bobby Lashley.

“While I both understand and respect the praise you give your partner, I totally disagree with your assessment,” MVP wrote. “Mostly the ‘anyone else’ part. I know a guy. An ‘All Mighty’…”

It’s unclear if this will actually lead to anything on WWE TV, or if MVP was just having fun on social media. Reigns is expected to defend his title tonight against Edge while Lashley takes on Kofi Kingston.

Money in the bank starts at 7 p.m. ET with the Start and the main card at 8 p.m. ET.
