Hedge Fund titan Paul Tudor Jones and several others joined MacKenzie Bezos on Tuesday as philanthropists who recently joined the Giving Pledge, promising to donate at least half of their wealth to a charity.
The 19 new signatories were announced Tuesday in a group press release, launched by billionaires Bill and Melinda Gates and Warren Buffett in 2010.
Jones, whose estimated value is more than $ 5 billion, has launched Tudor Investment Corp. and later became known for his specific bet on the 1987 stock market crash, according to Forbes.

He is also used to giving back, after focusing on education efforts in New York, the point of sale said. He also co-founded the Robin Hood Foundation, an "anti-poverty organization".
Jones and his wife, Sonia, published a statement obtained by CNBC about their decision to participate in the Giving Pledge, stating that "it deepens the joy of giving."
"We have given our whole lives, so making the commitment will not change the logistics or the amount of our charity," they continued.

Brian Acton, who co-founded the WhatsApp social media messaging app, was also on Tuesday's list. It has an estimated value of $ 4.03 billion, according to the Bloomberg billionaires index.
WhatsApp was bought by Facebook in 2014 and after he had separated from them a few years later, Acton redirected his energy and money back to the foundation of the Signal Foundation, Forbes announced.
The Giving Pledge said the 19 additions since the previous year had expanded their list to 204 signatories from 23 countries.
"We are excited to welcome this year's group of Giving Pledge signatories into the community, which now numbers more than 200 people in just nine years," Buffett said. "The generosity of this group is a reflection of the inspiration we take from millions of people who work with calm and efficiency to create a better world for others, often at the cost of great personal sacrifice.
