Paul Walker’s untimely demise continues to be felt even seven years later.
Through her daughter, Meadow Rain Walker, who is now 22, Walker’s legacy continues and on Monday, she paid tribute to the late actor and driver on the seventh anniversary of his death.
“A silly day to remember in sadness,” Meadow wrote in an Instagram post alongside a picture of herself with the “Fast and Furious” franchise star. “Today is a celebration of the love and happiness you have brought to the world. Here is a picture of my best friend and I taking a nap. “
Walker died in 2013, along with his friend Roger Rodas, who was driving, when a 2005 Porsche Carrera GT they were riding in hit a pole and caught fire in Los Angeles. At the time of the crash, Los Angeles County officials said speed played a role in the crash.

“Investigators determined that the cause of the fatal solo vehicle collision was unsafe driving speed,” said Captain Mike Parker in 2014.

Walker’s family sued Porsche in November 2015 for wrongful death, claiming the Porsche sports car it was driving in was faulty and lacked safety features that could have saved his life in the accident in Valencia, Calif. . The case was settled out of court and the terms were not disclosed.
On September 12, 2020, Meadow also honored his father on what would have been Walker’s 47th birthday.

“By the time I realized we were twins. Happy birthday to the most beautiful soul, ”she wrote on Instagram with a shared image of Walker holding a much younger Meadow.
Meadow recently shared another image in October of Walker watching her as he took photos of her with a DSLR camera.
