A week after Elizabeth Hurley, 55, caused a sensation by posing topless – a move that some critics have called ‘attention-seeking’ and inappropriate – Paulina Porizkova is following suit.

While no stranger to a bikini photoshoot, Porizkova, also 55, shows off even more on her latest Instagram. The old one Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Number cover girl is completely nude in the racy photo, which appears to have been taken in her bedroom.

In her caption, the ’80s model defends Hurley and reflects on how men perceive a woman’s nudity differently as she ages, turning something once so requested into a’ desperate ‘act. Porizkova – who spoke publicly about her late husband, the late Ric Ocasek, lacking interest before their split in 2017 – drew on her own experiences with aging.

“Put on your clothes,” Porizkova wrote. “Today, on a serious note, reflections inspired by the hubbub around a sexy photo of [Elizabeth Hurley]. When I was 20 and 30, the less I wore – the more popular I was.

“In my forties, I could walk around practically naked and unlawful nothing more than a ticket for public indecency,” she continued. “At 50, I am vilified for it. “Put on your clothes, Grandma. Hungry for attention, isn’t it? A little desperate here? You are pathetic.’

“Why are sex appeal and nudity applauded in a woman’s youth and reviled in her maturity?” Because of the men. Men are biologically programmed to spread their seeds, inserting themselves into fertile vessels that herald their viability through youth. What does this say for men who don’t want children? Men who have all the children they wanted? Men who don’t want kids this second? Not evolved.

“And what does this mean for women like me, who need to be validated by the male gaze? Unsafe.

“The only thing that’s pathetic here is allowing others to set your priorities.”

She signed up with two of her favorite hashtags: #SexyHasNoExpirationDate and #BetweenJLoandBettyWhite.

Porizkova – who responded with only a shy emoji when a commentator asked who took the intimate photo – received a flood of praise for her frankness.

“That last line is everything!” read a comment. “I’m in my twenties and I can’t tell you how much I respect you. I can only hope that I will accept aging as graciously as you do.

“I wish I had your trust, girl,” wrote another fan, prompting the model to respond, “I’m faking it!”

“I can’t say if this was taken 20 years ago or today,” one follower told the Pilates enthusiast. “You are timeless and sexy and the company must be silent.”
