So after pressing the play button for New World beta, the game started to load, immediately followed by an increase in fan speed to 100%, fps drop to 0, then from my monitors turning off and my NVIDIA video card is no longer detected. So I restarted the PC and everything seemed to be working fine, I even tried a few other games to make sure and had no issues. So I pressed New World again and the same happened but this time I heard a loud noise and now my 3090 does not go past POST on startup.
This is the 2nd 3090 FTW3 Ultra straight from EVGA to die playing or trying to play New World, my first died during the Alpha, but I was able to play it for about a week before it did. come. But the same thing happened with this card, it just happened while I was playing.
Anyway, I contacted EVGA for a full refund of the video card or other RMA and informed them of the problem. Now you should also know that I haven’t had any other issues with the other dozen games that I have been playing with this card for about 8 months after having both. I also installed my old NVIDIA GTX 980 card on the same PC and it works fine, with everything including New World beta no issues so far in alpha or closed beta.
