Payless ShoeSource closes all stores and starts selling business

If you need a new pair of shoes, now is the time to buy them.

Payless ShoeSource has announced the closure of its 2,700 stores across the country.

The company plans to file for bankruptcy this month for the second time in two years.

Payless is now starting to stop selling and end its e-commerce business.

All stores are expected to remain open until the end of next month and some will remain open until the month of May.

There are currently eight Payless sites in the Michiana area: two in Mishawaka and one in Dowagiac, Elkhart, Goshen, LaPorte, Niles and Plymouth.
