Pennsylvania Supreme Court dismisses Republican lawsuit to declare postal voting unconstitutional

The Pennsylvania Supreme Court dismissed the latest Republican court challenge to the 2020 presidential election results in a ruling Saturday night. Republican state representative Mike Kelly and congressional candidate Sean Parnell had filed a lawsuit to declare universal postal voting unconstitutional in Pennsylvania and reject the majority of votes cast by mail in the November election. The court concluded that “the lack of demonstrated due diligence in this case is undeniable” and dismissed the lawsuit with prejudice. President Donald Trump’s campaign has resulted in similar lawsuits, all unsuccessful and random. The outgoing president lost the state to President-elect Joe Biden in the presidential election.
