Rockstar Games was one of the developers who showcased a game at the highly anticipated PlayStation Showcase this week. But instead of a new game, Rockstar’s announcement was for Grand Theft Auto 5 and Grand Theft Auto Online on PlayStation 5 in 2022.

After nearly a decade of continued success and popularity, GTA fans are ready to move on and let Rockstar know it.

With a lifespan that will eventually span three generations of consoles and millions of sales under its belt, people are already familiar with GTA 5 and still playing GTA Online en masse. But since its first release on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles in 2013, fans haven’t wanted to hear about GTA 5 anymore.

As of this writing, the latest trailer for GTA 5 and GTA Online Remastered from PlayStation Showcase has 32,000 dislikes versus just 15,000 likes. A similar dislike report appears on the same trailer on different channels, including Rockstar’s official YouTube.

“Welcome to Los Santos?” A commentator wrote in the YouTube trailer on the official PlayStation channel. “No thanks. I’ve been stuck there since 2013.

Trailers announcing the re-release of an already very successful game might sting less if the trailer didn’t highlight things like “Seamless Character Switching,” which is a feature of Grand Theft Auto 5 and not necessarily. something new that is only possible on the PlayStation 5.

Fans also shared how the trailer highlights the improved graphics and improved gameplay. Without specific details, many say the visuals and gameplay appear largely unchanged from existing versions of the game.
