Ken Jennings, the Jeopardy! Record holder who will be a guest on the show following the death of Alex Trebek, sparked outrage over a resurfaced tweet he posted in 2014 about ‘hot’ people in wheelchairs.

“Nothing sadder than a sexy person in a wheelchair,” wrote Jennings, 46.

Jennings, who appears to have now deleted the tweet, delivered the callous message in 2018, but the message has gained strength in light of her upcoming guest hosting role.

Jennings said in 2018 he apologized “ personally ” to those who contacted him about the tweet, which he called an “ inane ” joke.

“ I never did a public flogging for this, but I personally apologized to the angry / hurt people who contacted personally, ” he tweeted at the time. “It was such an incompetent joke that it meant something very different in my head and I regret the mere ability reading!”

Now that the tweet has resurfaced, Jennings faces the wrath of angry Twitter users hurt and angered by her original post.

“ As a sexy person in a wheelchair Ken Jennings can go to hell, ” @ debbiebooth7622 tweeted.

“Hi @KenJennings, I’m a disabled wheelchair user and I’m #HotButNotATragedy,” @edgy_evergreen tweeted.

Actress Yvette Nicole Brown even weighed in on the controversy by posting a link announcing her role as guest host.

When asked why Yvette doesn’t like the selection, she replied: ‘Look at her old tweets and come back to me. ”

Jennings was announced as the first in a series of guest hosts replacing Trebek just days ago.

An official tweet revealed: ‘We will resume production on 11/30 with a series of acting Jeopardy guest hosts! family – starting with Ken Jennings. Additional hosts will be announced. ”

Jennings won 74 Jeopardy games! in a row and won the title of the show’s “ greatest of all time ” in a competition last year.

A longtime host of Trebek, who died at the age of 80 from a battle with pancreatic cancer earlier this month, will be named later.
