Ken Jennings speaks after being nominated for a Grammy Award for co-narrating Alex Trebek’s memoir.
Trebek, the beloved “Jeopardy!” the host who died on November 8 published his very first book in July about his life and long career in entertainment just a day before his 80th birthday.
“Alex Trebek – The Answer Is …” was nominated Tuesday for Best Oral Album by the Recording Academy. Jennings is listed as the future recipient if he wins the category. However, Trebek is not listed as a nominee, although he partially wrote and narrated the book.
“Wait what ??” Jennings tweeted with a photo of her nomination against others in the category.

“This should be Alex’s 100% Grammy nomination,” Jennings wrote in a second tweet. “He wrote the book and reads a lot of the audiobook! Who do I tell about it.”

According to TMZ, Simon & Schuster, the publisher, submitted the late “Jeopardy!” host of the award. Citing sources, the gossip site reports that the publisher is scratching his head over the exclusion of Trebek’s name.
Representatives for the Recording Academy and Simon & Schuster did not immediately respond to Fox News requests for comment.
On November 8, “Jeopardy!” announced Trebek’s death. The veteran host died “peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends,” according to the show’s statement. He died after battling stage 4 pancreatic cancer. During his final years on the “Jeopardy!” stage, Trebek continued to inform fans of his condition while undergoing treatment. He has promised to continue welcoming and doing the job he loves for as long as humanly possible.

As for Jennings, the contestant who broke show records with a 74-game winning streak and $ 2.52 million in earnings, he was recently selected as one of the acting guest hosts.
“We will resume production on 11/30 with a series of Acting Jeopardy Family Guests! – starting with Ken Jennings,” the show’s official Twitter account said. “Additional hosts will be announced.”

Following the news, Jennings also responded by stating, “There will never be just one Alex Trebek, but I am honored to help” Jeopardy! “with that in January.”
Earlier this year, Jennings won the show’s “Greatest of All Time” tournament.
