Work begins to heat up on the new Disney California Adventure Marvel Land. Some time ago we shared with you a license issued by the city of Anaheim for a Spider-Man store. Now, it seems as though work is starting to intensify on the very attraction of Spider-Man.

According to a permit issued by the city of Anaheim, the old attraction "It's hard to be an insect!" Will be expanded to accommodate the Spider-Man attraction. Here is an excerpt of the permit:

(Constructed) 39,924 square feet includes new interior walls to create a burial scene for attraction and showroom, corridors, queue, ceiling, with mechanical, electrical and plumbing associated

39,924 square feet is about twice as big as the existing theater "It's hard to be an insect!" And the same size as the show building Soarin 'Over California.

Phase 1 of the Marvel Superhero Land is expected to open in 2020.
