VANTAGE, Wash. – The city of Vantage, in central Washington, was evacuated and Interstate 90 was closed in both directions by a fire that moves quickly

I-90 traffic is stopped at exit 115 of Kittitas, six miles east of Ellensburg, and the westbound traffic is stopped at exit 137, at the junction of SR-26 on the east side of the Vantage Bridge. No detour is available via local roads. The estimated time for the opening of the road is not determined.
No structure has yet been lost as several teams, including the state's Department of Natural Resources, are striving to contain the fire around Vantage directly threatened by the flames. Sinclair said three people chose to stay in their homes when evacuations were ordered.
The Kittitas County Sheriff's Office worked with the Red Cross to establish a shelter for evacuees at the George Community Hall, 403 W. Montmorency Blvd.
Firefighters also ask the people of Wanapum State Park to find shelter where they are located because the Huntzinger Road is closed.
The forest fire was burned on about 300 acres. Until now, the fire is zero percent content.
