The Ministry of Transport and Communications (MTC) terminated the designation of Juan Manuel Cavero Solano as director of the Traffic and Road Safety Directorate of the Directorate General of Land Transport of this portfolio. This is the field in charge of the patent granting process.
This is detailed in Ministerial Resolution No. 934-2018 MTC / 01.02, published on Tuesday in the Separate Legal Rules of the El Peruano Official Gazette.
The dismissal of the official comes one day after the MTC declared, as part of the reorganization, the Directorate of Traffic Safety and Roads, following a report by Trade failures in the driver's license system that allowed a person with visual limitations to obtain an unrestricted patent.
Cavero Solano He was appointed to this post in 2016, replacing Manuel Pablo Fernandini Capurro. The ministerial resolution, under the heading of the Minister of Transport and Communications, Edmer Trujillo Mori, does not mention who will succeed Cavero Solano.
A journalist with severe vision problems became a candidate for the professional patent and obtained it without the help of glasses and in a legitimate way. This is allowed because of the lack of control of the medical centers by the MTC.
