Although the current figure does not yet exceed that of 277, it is expected to increase as December 1, the date of World AIDS Day commemoration, new cases will be identified as it is from the date on which most of them are tracked. all the municipality of Nariño.

"Our research is to offer a voluntary screening test to all people, which takes into account certain issues related to risk factors, including: Have you had sex under the influence of alcohol or alcohol? any other psychoactive substance, do you know your partner's sexual past, use condoms in all your sexual relations, have you suffered sexual violence, and have you had a sexually transmitted infection? "

They launch the campaign

Yesterday morning, the Ministry of Health of Pasto launched the campaign Cuida HIVda, as a strategy to reduce the rate of mortality by HIV-AIDS in the population.

"This is to promote access to health care services and health promotion, in order to provide coverage that transcends environments, home, the education sector, the workforce and the public. everyone, so that promote sexual and reproductive rights, reduce stigma and discrimination against the disease, among others, "he explained.

He pointed out that until week 44 of 2018, a total of 95 HIV-positive cases were reported. In the same interval of the previous year, there were 85 cases.

"Because of the mortality from HIV / AIDS this year, we have 6 cases, and in the previous one we had 4," he concluded.
